Reseller & API Terms
Version 2026-11-03 · Effective 3 November 2026 · Wize Data (Business Name Reg. No. 9684170)
In shortThese terms apply if you use our API, hold an Agent or Vendor account, or resell our services. You are responsible for your API key and for everything your customers do with what you sell them. Prices depend on your tier and can change; the price confirmed when you place an order is the one that applies. Wallet money is prepaid, orders are final unless a failed order is refunded automatically, and our records decide disputes. We can throttle, suspend or close keys that abuse the system or break our rules.

1. Who these terms apply to
These Reseller & API Terms ("API Terms") are an agreement between you and Wize Data (Business Name Registration No. 9684170) and apply when you (a) use our API or an API key, (b) hold an Agent or Vendor account, or (c) buy from us to resell or supply to others. They add to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and KYC & Abuse Policy, which also apply. If there is a conflict about API or resale use, these API Terms prevail.
Acceptance. You accept these API Terms when you generate or first use an API key, accept them in the app, upgrade to an Agent or Vendor account, or place an order through the API. If you use the API for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. Account types and price tiers
- Accounts are User, Agent or Vendor. Each has its own price tier for each service. Prices for each service, server, country and plan can differ by tier and can be changed at any time, including per item.
- We decide eligibility for each tier and may change, downgrade or remove a tier at our discretion, for example for inactivity, abuse or a change in our business. Any upgrade fee shown at the time you upgrade is not refundable unless the law requires it.
- The price used for an order is the price confirmed when you place it. Your price for a service is confidential: you must not publish or share our tier prices or our price lists with competitors.
- You are responsible for the margins and prices you charge your own customers.
3. API key and access
- Your API key identifies you. Keep it secret and use it only from your server. You are responsible for every request and every order made with your key, whether or not you made it. If it leaks, regenerate it at once and tell us.
- Do not share a key, sell access to it, embed it in a website, browser or mobile app, or use it to build a service that lets anyone use your wallet without controls.
- We may require verification (KYC) before issuing or keeping a key, and we may restrict a key to particular services.
- You must use the API only as documented, over HTTPS. Do not probe, overload, scrape our catalogues, bypass limits, or reverse-engineer the API.
4. Limits and fair use
- The current limit is 60 requests per minute per key for the v2 API, and a lower limit on how many orders can be placed per minute. We may change limits, throttle, delay or block requests that threaten the stability of the platform or of our suppliers.
- Poll for results at sensible intervals (the documentation recommends 10 to 20 seconds). Excessive polling counts as abuse.
- We do not guarantee any level of availability. We may carry out maintenance, change or withdraw a service, an endpoint or a supplier at any time. We will try to give notice of breaking changes where practicable, but are not obliged to.
5. Wallet and orders
- Your Wallet is prepaid. Every order is debited when placed. If your balance is too low the order is refused. We do not extend credit.
- Always send a unique reference (
ref or client_ref) with every purchase. We treat a repeated reference as the same order, which protects you from double charges. We are not liable for duplicate orders created because you reused or omitted references or retried without checking the status of the first request. - A reply of "processing" or a timeout does not mean failure. Check the order status before you retry. Where an order fails, we refund it to your Wallet automatically.
- Orders for airtime, data, bills, pins, SMM, rentals and delivered eSIMs are final once delivered, as set out in our Terms of Service. Virtual number and email orders that deliver no code are refunded automatically as the Terms describe.
- Our system records are conclusive evidence of what was ordered, charged, delivered and refunded unless you show a clear error. Report any problem with an order within 14 days of the transaction with the order reference; we are not obliged to investigate later claims, without limiting rights you have by law.
- We may correct pricing, balance or system errors, including by reversing credits or orders caused by an error.
6. If you resell to others
- You are the seller to your own customers. You are responsible to them for your prices, support, refunds, and for what you promise them. You must not say or imply that we are your partner or that we guarantee anything to them.
- You are responsible for your customers' conduct. You must make them accept terms at least as strict as our Terms and Acceptable Use rules, including the ban on fraud and on using virtual numbers, emails and eSIMs with banks, government websites, financial platforms and affiliate programmes.
- You must know who your customers are, keep records of who ordered what for at least five (5) years, and give us that information within 48 hours of a request from us or from a lawful authority. We may suspend your key at once if you cannot.
- You must tell your customers that virtual numbers and emails are temporary, receive-only, not guaranteed to work with any app, not for important accounts, and that rentals and delivered eSIMs are final.
- You are the controller of your end customers' personal data. Do not send us personal data that the API does not ask for, and never send BVN, NIN, card or bank data through the API. You must comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 for the data you hold.
- You must not resell or relay our services in a way that hides the real user from us, or runs a service whose main purpose is fraud, bulk account creation or bypassing verification.
7. Prohibited use
Everything prohibited in our Terms of Service and KYC & Abuse Policy is prohibited under these API Terms. In particular you must not use the API, or let your customers use it, for fraud, impersonation, bypassing identity checks, work with banks, government websites or financial platforms, abuse of affiliate or bonus programmes, bulk fake accounts, harassment or any unlawful purpose.
8. Suspension and termination
- We may throttle, restrict, suspend or terminate a key or account immediately and without notice if we suspect misuse, a security risk, a breach of these terms or the law, an unpaid debt, a request from a supplier or authority, or if you resell in a way that harms us.
- You may stop using the API at any time and regenerate or delete your key.
- On closure, balances are dealt with as set out in our Terms of Service and KYC & Abuse Policy. We may hold or withhold funds connected to suspected abuse and recover amounts you owe us.
- Sections that by nature continue (payment, liability, indemnity, confidentiality, records, law and disputes) survive termination.
9. Confidentiality and intellectual property
Our API documentation, price lists, catalogue data and the software behind the API belong to us and our licensors. You may use them only to place orders through the API. You must not copy or republish them, or use them to build a competing wholesale or price-comparison service.
10. No warranty; limit of liability
Important. The API is provided "as is" and "as available".
- We give no warranty that the API, catalogues, prices, stock levels or any supplier will be available, accurate, uninterrupted or fit for your purpose. Stock and prices shown may change before you order.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the API and resale is limited to the lesser of (a) the amount you paid for the order that caused the claim and (b) the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, customers, business or data, for your customers' claims, for suppliers', networks' or Third-Party Platforms' acts or omissions, or for events beyond our reasonable control.
- Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Wize Data, its owner, employees, agents and suppliers against all claims, losses, fines, penalties and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the API or resale, your customers' acts, your breach of these terms or the law, and any claim by a customer, supplier, platform or authority connected with services you resold.
12. Changes, law and contact
- We may update these API Terms. The version at the top of this page is in force; continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.
- These API Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction. Complaints go first to us (see below).
